At 56, I was fit, active and training as a triathlete, with no symptoms at all. I came in for an executive health assessment because I wanted a proactive understanding of my health.

The tests  found an elevated lipoprotein(a) level and a high calcium score, suggesting a higher risk of heart disease. Further scans found a significant narrowing of around 70% in one of my major heart arteries.
