Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. At The Private Doctors you can book a blood test directly, and our doctors will guide you on the most appropriate panels. Your results are reviewed by a clinician and explained with clear next steps if further care is needed.
Please arrange a GP consultation - your bloods tests can be taken immediately after your consultation.
How quickly will I get my results?
Most routine blood test results are available within 24 to 48 hours. More specialised tests may take a little longer, and we will let you know expected timeframes at the time of your appointment. As soon as results are ready, a doctor will review them and share a clear explanation with you, along with any recommended next steps.
Will a doctor explain my results?
Yes. At The Private Doctors, every investigation includes a complimentary virtual consultation with the GP who arranged your tests.
