Payment & Consent Policy
At The Private Doctors, all payments are taken in advance or on the day of your appointment to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience (unless previously approved). If this is your first visit, please bring a payment card with you. Your card will be securely stored on your account to confirm the appointment and to settle any fees on the day. We do not charge in advance unless this has been agreed with you. You may update or remove your card details at any time.
Should any investigations, scans, or tests be recommended and carried out on the day, you will be fully informed of the associated fees. A consent form will be signed prior to testing, and payment will be taken on the day.
This ensures clarity, confidence, and continuity of care - with no surprises.

Each consultation fee includes prescriptions and referral letters where required. If these are requested outside of a consultation, an administrative charge will apply.

HOME VISITS

All home visit requests require an initial telephone consultation with one of our doctors. If, following this call, a home visit is not arranged, a consultation fee of £120 will still apply — even if hospital admission or onward referral is recommended.
SAME DAY INVESTIGATIONS
Fee Information
Where possible, we can arrange blood tests, urine tests, ECGs, and other diagnostic investigations on the same day as your appointment at The Private Doctors.
Your clinician will explain any recommended tests in detail, including their purpose and cost, and with your consent these can usually be performed immediately. Payment is required before you leave the clinic.

Executive Health Screening
At The Private Doctors, we believe the most valuable investment you can make is in your health.
Our preventative health screening packages are designed for individuals who want clarity, reassurance, and early detection of potential issues — combining advanced diagnostics with tailored medical insight. The initial consultation to discuss your health screening needs. Should you choose not to proceed with a health screening package, a standalone consultation fee of £220 will apply.
For all health screening packages costing less than £1,000, payment is due in full on the day of your first consultation.
For all health screening packages costing over £1,000, a 50% deposit is required before or on the day of your first consultation. The remaining balance must be settled in full prior to your follow-up appointment, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance with management and confirmed in writing.
Payment on account may be available, subject to prior written agreement and satisfactory credit checks.

A range of optional enhancements can be added to any package for a more comprehensive assessment.
These include advanced imaging such as CT coronary calcium scoring, CT coronary angiography, cardiac MRI, or a stress ECG to assess performance under exertion.
Continuous monitoring can be arranged through 24-hour Holter ECG, while advanced lipid sub-fraction analysis and genetic testing provide deeper insight into inherited cardiovascular risk. Where needed, fast-track referral to leading cardiology specialists ensures any findings are managed promptly and appropriately.
