EVERYTHING ANSWERED

Commonly Asked Questions

  • Do I need a GP referral to book?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with our women's health specialist without needing to see a GP first — meaning you can be seen promptly, without waiting for a referral letter or navigating a waiting list.

  • What women's health concerns do you see?

We see a wide range of women's health concerns including menopause and perimenopause symptoms, irregular or heavy periods, hormonal imbalance, pelvic pain, low mood and fatigue with a hormonal cause, thyroid concerns, and preventative hormonal health review. We also support women who want to understand their hormonal profile proactively before symptoms become disruptive.

  • Can you help with menopause symptoms?

Yes. Menopause and perimenopause are among the most common reasons women attend our clinic. Our specialist team will take a detailed history of your symptoms, review your hormone levels through blood analysis, and discuss the full range of management options available — including HRT where appropriate. You will leave with a clear, personalised plan.

  • Do you offer HRT prescribing?

Yes. Where HRT is clinically appropriate, our specialist can prescribe and manage hormone replacement therapy directly. We review your full hormone profile, discuss the different types and formulations of HRT available, and tailor the prescription to your individual needs. Ongoing monitoring and prescription management is available as part of your continued care.

  • Can I have a preventative hormonal review even if I have no symptoms?

Absolutely. Many women attend our clinic proactively — wanting to understand their hormonal baseline before symptoms arise, or to plan ahead for perimenopause. A preventative hormonal health review includes a detailed consultation, a comprehensive hormonal blood panel, and a personalised discussion of what your results mean for your long-term health.

  • What happens during a women's health consultation?

Your consultation begins with a detailed, unhurried discussion of your symptoms, cycle history, family history and overall health. Your specialist will review any relevant previous investigations and explain what further tests may be helpful. You will leave with a clear explanation of the findings, a written management plan, and any prescriptions or referrals arranged on the same day where needed.

  • Can you arrange blood tests or investigations?

Yes. Blood tests including comprehensive hormonal panels — covering oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, FSH, LH, thyroid function, SHBG and AMH — can be arranged in-house at the time of your consultation. Where further investigations such as ultrasound or specialist imaging are needed, we arrange these promptly through our network of trusted local providers.

  • How much does a women's health consultation cost?

A new women's health consultation is £225. Follow-up consultations are £175. Blood tests are charged separately depending on the panel required. All consultation fees include a written report.
